Roto Gravure Machine Rollers
Description:-Rotogravure is a printing process that involves engraving an image onto an image carrier, typically a cylindrical surface, and then using that surface to transfer the image onto a substrate, such as paper or film.
Specifications:
Cylinder: The main component of rotogravure printing machine is the engraved cylinder. It is typically made of steel or copper and is coated with a layer of chrome. The cylinder is engraved with cells that hold the ink. The depth and pattern of the engravings determine the image that will be printed.
Cylinder Diameter: The diameter of the engraved cylinder can vary depending on the specific requirements of the printing job. Larger diameter cylinders are often used for higher print quality and longer print runs.
Line Screen: The line screen refers to the number of cells or engraved dots per linear inch on the cylinder's surface. A higher line screen results in finer details but may reduce the ink transfer capacity. Common line screen values range from 80 to 300 lines per inch.
Anilox Roller: This is an important roller that meters the amount of ink transferred from the ink pan to the engraved cylinder. The surface of the anilox roller is covered with cells of various sizes and depths, controlling the amount of ink applied to the engraved cylinder.
Doctor Blade: Positioned against the engraved cylinder, the doctor blade scrapes excess ink from the surface, leaving only the ink within the engraved cells. Doctor blades are often made of steel or other materials with good wear resistance.
Material Composition: Rollers are typically made from materials that offer durability, wear resistance, and dimensional stability. Common materials include steel, aluminum, chrome, and ceramic coatings.
